Cyfra+ with 1,38 mln subscribers

Cyfra+ started 2008 with 1 million subscribers and finished the same year with nearly 400,000 new customers (40% increase). Cyfra+ platform closed 2008 with 1,380,000 subscribers and that is a lot more than predicted in initial sale plans.

85% of new subcribers that were added in fourth quarter have chosen Premium options (Canal+ and/or HBO) while 25% chosen HD option and sale plans has been exceeded by over 100%.

From the 1st of January 2009 Cyfra+ slightly changed channel packages and their offer. Powitalny+, Podstawowy+, Komfortowy+, Prestizowy+ and Prestizowy HD+ packages have been transformed into a permanent sale offers available for both new and existing customers. Platform also introduced a New Year promotion with all the packages and Premium HD option offered on a 50% discount for 10 months. New subscribers also receive a 50% discount on rental of every Cyfra+ decoder. New promotion is accompanied by television advertising campaign.
