Orange Sport Info to join Cyfra+

On Monday 8th of June 2009 a sports news channel Orange Sport Info has received a satellite broadcasting license from KRRiT (National Broadcasting Council). This means that it will soon appear in the offer of Polish cable operators and from satellite, including CYFRA+ platform. Orange Sport Info will be a free-to-air channel!

Orange Sport Info has been launched by Grupa Telekomunikacja Polska at the beginning of April 2009. So far, the station was only available for subscribers of Telekomunikacja Polska television offer. Broadcaster was waiting for a license from KRRiT.

As a result, the station will be able to broadcast from the Hot Bird 13E satellite including CYFRA+ and Orange platforms as well as cable networks. Transmission from the satellite will not be encrypted, which means this is the next Polish FTA channel.
