BBC HD launches in Poland on 1st of May 2010

It is now officially known that on 1st of May 2010 BBC Worldwide Channels will begin broadcasting its television channel BBC HD on the Polish market. At the beginning BBC HD will be available for more than 700,000 subscribers of n television. In the coming weeks, BBC HD will also be available in the offer of country's largest cable operator UPC Poland. We also know that BBC HD is already encoded in Nagra NMA (Seca) for CYFRA+ so it will soon appear on this platform. BBC HD will not be available in Cyfrowy Polsat.

BBC HD offers the best British and international programming, including the award-winning documents and programmes devoted to the arts and entertainment. BBC HD will have unlimited coverage in Poland and in its entirety will be available in a version with Polish reader. BBC HD complements the BBC Worldwide package which can be seen in Poland. BBC Knowledge, BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies and BBC Entertainment operate on the Polish market since December 2007 and are available in Cyfrowy Polsat and well as in many cable networks.
