VOOM HD in Norway

A cable provider in Norawy (Get) has just landed a carriage agreement that will bring VOOM HD networks onto its lineup of high-definition channels. This isn\'t the first time the Voom channels have surfaced in the Nordic and Baltic regions, but when it launches on Get later this month, it will be a first on this particular carrier.

Get supplies viewers with more than 90 digital channels in addition to 20 in analogue.

”While we certainly had an idea of which regions would respond to and embrace high-definition television most vigorously, it is truly fulfilling to both witness and be a part of such growth. Norway is among the leaders of this charge, and we’re pleased that VOOM HD and NonStop Television will help Get launch its new HD package” - says Glenn Oakley, SVP for VOOM HD Networks.

Added Ignas Scheynius, CEO of NonStop Television (distributor of VOOM programming) added: “We strongly believe that HD is the future format of today’s television, so we have specialized in finding high-quality HD channels like VOOM HD and others.”
