TVP Parliament in the end of 2008/start of 2009

Polish Television (TVP) should enrich its offer in 2008 or 2009 with a new channel - TVP Parliament. Considered preliminary launch date of the channel is the end of 2008 or start of 2009.

TVP Parliament will broadcast live the proceedings of the Sejm and Senate, committees, briefings and press conferences from Polish and European Parliament. Also, transmissions of documentaries, educational programmes as well as proceedings of local governments are expected.

TVP Parliament will be a FTA channel availabale on Astra 19,2E and in the internet. Channel will be 16 hour per day broadcast. Its offer will be assigned for viewers interested in information, legislation and civil education.

After preparation of a detailed business plan, TVP will submit a proposal in mid-year with for concession for a new thematic channel to KRRiT.
