Cyfrowy Polsat with new HD channels

Dominik Libicki from Cyfrowy Polsat has informed us on a press conference that took place on 30th of November 2009 that in December or January next year new high definition (HDTV) channels will appear in the offer of Cyfrowy Polsat. For the moment we do not know exactly when and which channels will be offered.

Adding new high definition channels is a matter of the next few weeks. Representatives of the platform do not want to publish detailed information but they say there will bo no problem with finiding a place for these channels on satellite. That may indicate that the offer will be expanded by channels well known on the Polish market, as well as new stations.

The largest digital platform in Poland still does not offer such channels as Animal Planet HD, Nat Geo Wild HD or TVP HD. History HD is available only in cable networks. Cyfrowy Polsat is also interested in BBC HD. Addition of new HD channels will be a reason for creating new package with HDTV.
