Cyfrowy Polsat with 3,2 mln subscribers

Cyfrowy Polsat, the largest satellite platform in Poland, closed 2009 with 3.2 million subscribers. It means that in the fourth quarter of 2010 Cyfrowy Polsat subscriber base has increased by 286,000. In November 2009 operator announced 3 million subscribers whuch means an increase of 200,000 within a month. The total number Cyfrowy Polsat decoders users is 3.9 million.

Throughout the year platform has added 476,000 new subscribers. In addition, 700,000 customers with Cyfrowy Polsat decoder has access to free channels and they can buy a given package or use VOD services at any time. This means that there are 3.9 million potential users of Cyfrowy Polsat deocders, that number represents 28% of all households.

Regular increase of subscribers has strengthened the position of Cyfrowy Polsat as pay-TV market leader in Poland. At the same time the company is the fifth largest satellite pay-TV platform in Europe after BSkyB, CanalSat, Tricolor TV and SKY Italia.
