No TVP channels in DVB-S2 on Astra

On 14th of May Polish Television (TVP) has planned changes of technical parameters of channels available on satellite Astra 1KR (19.2°E). On tp. 59 on the frequency 10.862 GHz, pol. H, DVB-S2 transmission will be replaced by a transmission in DVB-S. New channels such as TV Trwam, Radio Maryja and TV Belsat will appear. According to information from TVP, the new system will probably be in force until the end of 2010.

It is important to note that TVP used the word "probably". This may mean that there is no certainty in TVP on this issue and it may be followed by further changes in transmission, depending on the situation. This could be important for cable networks, which benefit from 19.2E transmission. Changes in this transmission can be critical for cable networks.
